Preschool Ministries
At Second Baptist, children
are taught about faith, Jesus and life with a planned purpose. Children are always learning
and they
associate Church with what happens in their room at Church.
Our teachers and leaders make sure every classroom experience builds
positive and productive images of Christ and Church.
Teaching preschoolers is an exciting and rewarding adventure. We
have the opportunity to help lay spiritual foundations in their
lives. We are honored to be given the opportunity to shape
the hearts and minds of children at Second Baptist and in our
community.
Preschool years in the church are significant, at least in part,
because they occur when human development is most pliable.
Learning takes place at church as soon as the child arrives
through involvement in various activities that are provided. Our
church provides the following program schedule for preschoolers.
Times and places are available on our main Church
schedule.

fives)
When our Church family is
blessed with a new birth, the family is presented a red rose honoring the birth, and the child is
presented a small white New Testament Bible. This
dedication is not a spiritual event for the child, but rather a time
for the family and Church to commit together to nurture and teach
the child about spiritual things.
